Siemens: Weve Booked $100M in Managed Services

Siemens Enterprise Communications is touting its recent success in unified communications, boasting $100 million in managed services agreements with enterprises.

“Managed services, like those offered by Siemens Enterprise, can help companies cost-effectively maintain complex communications infrastructures,” said Brian Riggs, research director at Current Analysis, in the press release. “With them, companies gain a single source of support and systems management, obviating the need to enter into support contracts with multiple technology providers and generally reducing support costs.”

Siemens said it has customers in the public sector, financial services, pharmaceutical, education and health care industries, for which it has been able to lower capital expenditures by lowering voice and network total cost of ownership by up to 15 percent to 20 percent, it claimed.

Specific companies benefiting from Siemens’ managed services include:

  • Large U.S. public sector organization with an agreement worth $20 million over 60 months

  • Global pharmaceutical company with an agreement worth $20 million over 43 months

  • Global financial services organization with an agreement for $55 million over the next 66 months

  • Latin American media services company with an agreement for $1.4 million over the next 36 months

  • Latin American mining company with an agreement for $1.7 million over the next 36 months

  • European auto parts provider with an agreement for $5 million over 36 months
