Sandler Partners’ Commissions Integrity Program, which proactively audits commissions and sales performance incentive fund (SPIF) payments for its agent partners, has directly recovered more than $3 million for agent partners since its launch in January 2013.

In addition, it has recovered many times that amount in future commissions payments. Agents are not required to report missing commissions and SPIFs in order for audits to begin.

“Congrats to our commissions team for reaching this milestone,” said Curt Allen, Sandler Partners’ president of channel. “The impact of this program across our base of agent partners speaks to just how widespread compensation errors are in our space. More than 70 percent of our partners have received true-ups, and virtually all of our partners have benefited from system-wide errors caught and corrected in our proactive audits.”

Commissions can be missing for a variety of different reasons, the company said.

Sandler Partners continues to expand its commissions team in order to maintain its “level of vigilance in commissions reviews across the company’s rapidly growing base of more than 5,000 agent partners and its extensive base of more than 200 providers of connectivity, cloud and advanced services,” it said.

“We’re expanding our team to make sure we’ve always got our partners’ backs,” Allen said. “We want to free them up to do what they do best. Providing commissions and SPIF tracking and reconciliation takes on one of the most prevalent headaches IT consultants, independent agents, MSPs and VARs face — making sure they are fully paid for their efforts.”

“I could not be more proud of our team,” said Drew Kenworthy, Sandler Partners’ director of finance. “They’ve made this program a priority and have kept pace with our company’s rapid growth, auditing more payments for more agent partners from more providers. They’ve recovered a million dollars for our partners in just the past 12 months.”
