Ribbon Communications Powers Peerless Network’s UCaaS

Cloud2Edge allows service providers to manage service quality.

Peerless Network is using Ribbon Communications‘ Cloud2Edge service for its new cloud PBX offering.

Cloud PBX is Peerless’ UCaaS offering that allows enterprises to manage telephone extensions, direct inward dialing (DIDs), services, routing, configuration and inventory over a cloud-based IP network via one system with provisioning and customization.

John Macario, Ribbon’s senior vice president of channel marketing, tells Channel Partners this will allow Peerless and its channel partners to offer a “highly differentiated” UCaaS offer to customers.

“Ribbon benefits by having a top-notch partner in Peerless Network who can serve the needs of their network of channel partners,” he said. “Peerless gets many benefits including lower opex costs for their cloud PBX deployments, visibility from their cloud to every site and every IP endpoint at those sites, and significantly improved troubleshooting capabilities. Peerless Networks’ channel partners can quickly identify service quality issues and, in many cases, remediate them using the EdgeView Service Control Center (SCC) without having to engage in costly site visits.”

Cloud2Edge is a bundled solution that includes Ribbon’s EdgeView SCC, EdgeMarc Intelligent Edge devices, unlimited EdgeMarc call licenses and premium technical support. It allows service providers such as Peerless to manage service quality from the network core to IP endpoints, collect service quality data for reporting and analytics, and troubleshoot and quickly resolve service quality issues.

We recently compiled a list of 20 top UCaaS providers offering products and services via channel partners.

“Peerless and their channel partners can bring up cloud PBX sites quickly using Cloud2Edge’s zero-touch provisioning capabilities to meet the coming demand for UC services,” Macario said. “A recent study by Ribbon found that 85% of U.S. businesses are interested to extremely interested in moving voice to the cloud. In the same study, we found that 67% of these businesses expected their company to switch from legacy voice services to UC within the next two years.”

Peerless and their partners can scale to meet this demand without the need for significant additions to their deployment teams.
