Ericsson Enterprise Mobility Gateway
Ericsson will build the next generation of its Enterprise Mobility Gateway on Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007s VoIP call management platform to give enterprises a fast and cost-effective route to fixed-mobile convergence. The company says this will enable business users to use their mobile devices as extensions of their corporate communications network. This solution provides Ericssons enterprise customer base and new customers with a migration path toward mobile unified communications for enterprises. In addition to having access to functions like a single number, directory search, conference calling and call forwarding, business users also will have access to presence information, click to dial, remote management, soft buttons and SIP-based services on their mobile devices whether a traditional mobile phone, smartphone, dual-mode mobile/Wi-Fi phone or laptop computer.

NEC USB Handset
NEC will offer a USB handset for use with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communicator 2007. The USB handset can be plugged directly into a USB port, enabling the high-quality wideband voice input and output capabilities of a standard desktop phone for Office Communicator 2007.

Palm Treo Smartphones
Palm Inc. Treo smartphones running Windows Mobile will take advantage of Microsoft Office Communicator Mobile, which adds instant messaging and the ability to quickly locate and check the status of users on the network. In North America and Europe, the Treo 700wx and Treo 750 devices will have the capability. In Europe and other parts of the world, the Treo 750v and Treo 500v also will have such functionality.

Polycom CX Series UC Devices
Polycoms full suite of CX unified communications devices for users of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 offers broad support for the platform through a diverse offering of three additional high definition, wideband VoIP endpoints: the CX200, CX400, and CX700 models. The CX200 Desktop Phone is a USB peripheral for Office Communicator 2007 that features a full duplex speakerphone, handset and large presence status indicator. The CX400 cordless phone is a wireless handset with a desktop base station that connects via USB. It features a presence display, 10-meter (30-foot) wireless reception range, and 10- hour talk time. The CX700 IP phone is an executive standalone IP telephone that delivers presence and directory capabilities with a color touch screen, USB and Ethernet ports, and a biometric fingerprint reader for enhanced security. The alreadyreleased CX100 speakerphone is a compact peripheral that connects via USB to a laptop or desktop PC to enable crystal-clear, handsfree communications.

Nortel Multimedia Conferencing 5.0
Nortel says its Multimedia Conferencing 5.0 solutions will integrate Office Communication Server 2007.
Multimedia Conferencing 5.0 is a reservationless, customer premise audio/ video solution that provides subscribers with always on conferencing. Nortel offers users the ability to dial-in to a conference from anywhere, and from any device. The integrated version can support a mix of attendee types, including on-premise users with desktop clients, analog phones, digital or IP phones as well as partners, customers and remote callers. The joint conferencing solution enables an audio conference to seamlessly convert into a desktop video conference. It is planned for general availability in first quarter 2008.

Samsung Electronics SyncMaster LCD Monitor
Samsung Electronics America Inc. has released its new SyncMaster 225UW widescreen LCD monitor, which takes advantage of Microsoft Office Communicator 2007. The 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor is equipped with a built-in 2.0M pixel high-resolution Web camera, dual-array microphone and speakers, and supports wideband audio. The monitors high resolution (1680 x 1050) and wide 16:10 aspect ratio makes it suitable for professional applications. The SyncMaster 225UW monitor will be sold through Samsung resellers and distributions and has an MSRP of $449.99.

Nortel Converged Office
Nortel says its Converged Office will integrate the telephony feature set of Nortels IP PBX with Office Communications Server 2007. Converged Office will enable Office Communicator as the single end-user interface to perform all UC functions, such as VoIP soft client, instant messaging, presence, conferencing and performing remote call control of any desk phone connected to a Nortel IP-PBX. The offer will be available in first quarter 2008.

LG-Nortel 8500 Series IP Phones

LG-Nortel, the LG Electronics and Nortel joint venture, says the LG-Nortel IP Phone 8500 series unified communications devices have been optimized for use with Office Communications Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 so that mobile users can use unified communications as effectively as fixed location office users. The LG-Nortel IP Phone 8540 features a large 5.7 inch color touch screen LCD display, wideband audio and security features, such as a biometric fingerprint lock. The LG-Nortel USB Phone 8501 is a PC peripheral that offers wideband audio in a desktop handset. The LG-Nortel Wireless Headset 8502 with Bluetooth wireless technology adds untethered functionality with a range of up to 10 meters and a talktime of up to six hours. The LG-Nortel IP Phone 8500 family of products will be launched in North America and Europe in fourth quarter 2007, and in other regions by first quarter 2008.

AudioCodes Media Gateways

AudioCodes offers a range of media gateways for the Microsoft unified communications technologies, Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. These include basic gateways that are designed to interface with external Microsoft Mediation Server and Basic Hybrid gateways that integrate the Microsoft Mediation Server software internally. The gateways enable Microsofts UC platforms to operate with existing PBX systems and directly connect to the PSTN.
