CHANNEL PARTNERS The newly rebranded Powernet (Booth 5022 and a show sponsor) today released Hosted IP PBX Plus, an add-on to its recently released Hosted IP PBX product.

The “Plus” service enables voice, video and instant messaging from desktop or mobile devices, giving remote workers access to office communications as if they were in the building. The system includes centralized contact lists, high-definition voice and video, and lets users flip calls among handset, desktop and mobile devices.

This will free up workers whose jobs require them to be away from their desk and give remote and on-the-go employees the connectivity they need to stay in the loop,” said John Putnam, vice president of sales at Powernet.

Metaswitch Networks developed the new capability for Powernet.
