Polycom Launches Wireless-Office-in-a-Box for SMBs
Polycom Inc. launched Thursday its Wireless-Office-in-a-Box solution for small and medium-sized businesses.
The system consists of three KIRK 2010 digital enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT) handsets and a KIRK Wireless Server (KWS) 300.
The newest member of the KIRK handset line, the KIRK 2010 is a lightweight handset that offers 12 hours of talk time and 150 hours of standby time. It offers hands-free speakerphone, caller ID, call timer, a 40-name phonebook, as well as a headset jack and a choice of 13 menu languages.
The KWS 300 is a SIP-based, single-cell system that can support up to 12 handsets and four simultaneous calls. A total of six KIRK repeaters can be added to extend the coverage area.
KIRK Wireless Servers are fully interoperable with the full portfolio of KIRK wireless telephones. Additionally, KIRK Wireless Servers interoperate with a number of IP PBX systems including BroadSoft, Cisco, Digium, Innovaphone, Nortel and Objectworld.
The KIRK Wireless-Office-in-a-Box systems are available in North America and Europe through Polycom’s certified reseller partners. The basic solution includes three 2010 handsets and a KWS 300 for a list price of $700.
