PointOne Communications Inc. (Booth 100) announced StarPoint IP Business, a hosted IP solution for enterprises that want to replace or curtail further investment in their PBX system.

StarPoint IP Business allows customers to replace an existing PBX system or keep an existing PBX system in place but integrate with PointOnes solution to accommodate additional line demand.

Hosted IP services provide obvious and dramatic advantages over PBX equipment, says Sam Shiffman, executive vice president of PointOne. More importantly, StarPoint IP Business allows enterprises to take advantage of next-generation telephony applications.

StarPoint IP Business provides an extensive range of enhanced phone features including: abbreviated dialing, call hunt, conferencing and auto attendant.

PointOne currently processes more than one half billion calls per month on its IP network, which covers more than 75 percent of the country.
