Master agency Drive Technology Management announced Friday that former PGi channel executive Rich Zirk has joined the company as managing partner.

In his new role, Zirk will be responsible for partner acquisition and development as well as sales and account management. He will work with Tim Dawson, the company’s president and managing partner.

Zirk spent the last 11 years at PGi as director of channel sales for the conferencing and collaboration company. While there, Zirk was a top-performer, winning PGI’s Chairman Club honor four times. Prior to that he spent two years as a channel manager for Openwave Systems Inc. Earlier in his telecom career he had sales roles with AT&T.

Drive Technology Management represent more that 50 providers of services, including conferencing, collaboration, managed IT, call center, mobile optimization, disaster recovery, colocation and data center.
