PCI Pal, a secure payments provider for contact centers, has appointed Darren Gill, formerly with Genesys, as vice president of channels for North America.

Gill will use his understanding of the contact-center market to drive PCI Pal’s channel partnerships in North America. He will report to Grafton Potter, senior vice president of sales for North America.

“As the only true cloud player at the forefront of industry innovation, the decision to join the PCI Pal team was an easy one,” Gill said. “Our industry is at an inflection point here in North America and PCI Pal is perfectly positioned to guide businesses through the regulatory and compliance challenges ahead. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with and grow our VAR, BPO and MSP channels, leveraging my in-market relationships to help build the PCI Pal business globally.”

Gill previously was Genesys‘ vice president of channel sales, and before that held channel and sales leadership positions with Verint Systems and Aspect Sofware.

Founded in the United Kingdom, PCI Pal expanded to the U.S. in 2017, opening its first office in Charlotte, North Carolina. In the past year, the team has seen consistent growth, evolving its product set and migrating its PCI decision support system (DSS) offerings to deliver global PCI services for contact centers.

As part of an increased focus on partner expansion, the creation of this new, channel-focused role is a key element of the business’ global growth strategy, the company said.

“We are extremely excited by the addition of Darren to our highly focused team of experienced industry experts in the United States,” said James Barham, PCI Pal’s chief operating officer. “Channel is key to our focus as a business not only in North America, but globally, and Darren brings a wealth of regionally specific experience, combined with global insights and deep industry knowledge that will rapidly add value to our business, channel partners and end-user customers.””
