Cablevision‘s Optimum Voice SIP Trunking service now works with Toshiba‘s IPedge IP and Strata CIX IP business phone systems, the companies said on Tuesday.

Channel partners may sell both products to SMBs. Optimum Voice SIP Trunking, part of Cablevision’s Optimum Business portfolio, provides VoIP access and key network-based features to certified IP PBXs. It’s delivered through a converged voice and data network. Toshiba joins the list of technology partners that are working with Optimum Business to supply affordable, manageable communications systems for small companies.  

Combining our SIP trunking service with Toshibas IP business telephone systems gives customers access to sophisticated voice features, simplified configuration, reduced equipment costs and significant room to scale versus traditional business trunking solutions,” said Joseph Varello, Cablevisions vice president of business and voice product management, in a press release.

The interoperability certification for Optimum Voice SIP Trunking spans all of Toshibas telephone systems, which includes IPedge EM, EP and EC models, as well as Strata CIX40, CIX100, CIX200, CIX670 and CIX1200 models. Optimum Voice SIP Trunking is available through Optimum Business and third-party resellers, including Toshiba dealers in the New York metro area.
