Safety Quest for Qwest

In an effort to prevent child victimization stemming from online threats, Qwest Communications International Inc. and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) have kicked off an Internet safety campaign for parents and guardians.

Called Parents Safety-Net Test, the tool gives adults an instant tool to check their knowledge of Internet safety. The interactive test, located at www.incredibleinternet.com, also provides parents with steps they can take to protect their children.

Adults also can download Qwest’s Connected Family Kit from the Incredible Internet Web site. The kit includes online safety tips, family Internet rules, and other resources promoting safe and fun Internet use for families. The site materials are available in English and Spanish.

A New Hope for the Cash-Strapped

If selling your cell phone is your only hope, the force is with you. CellForCash.com will buy used Sony Ericsson S710a and Z500a Star Wars cell phones that were released by Cingular Wireless to commemorate Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

The company will pay $250 for the S710a model, and $200 for the Z500a phone. Both of the limited edition Star Wars handsets were offered with a range of Star Wars-related features, including special ringtones, a C-3PO voice ringtone, Star Wars character graphics, a movie video clip and a demo of the Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith video game.

CellForCash.com buys used cell phones and remarkets them worldwide. Phones that cannot be resold are either donated to shelters and 911 programs or recycled.
