Nextiva’s Phil Steitz

Steitz comes to Nextiva with a 30-year career leading global technology teams. His professional experience includes a 10-year tenure at American Express, including serving as its first global CTO, and leading change in the company’s technology strategy and partnerships. He also served as CIO of Barclays’ U.S. credit card business, and CTO at Edgenuity and Deem.

“I am very excited to join the team at Nextiva,” he said. “We have an opportunity to do something really significant here. It is rare to have this combination of leadership vision, talent and market opportunity. I look forward to helping realize Nextiva’s product vision and advancing Nextiva’s customer communications and relationship management.”

In addition to his business experience, Steitz also serves as chairman of the Apache Software Foundation, where he oversees global technology standards and strategy, and also leads the introduction of numerous technology innovations.
