NaviSite Inc. – the hosting and managed services arm of Time Warner Cable – now is able to let customers replicate their virtual machines among separate locations and environments.

The functionality comes thanks to the inclusion of DRaaS technology within NaviCloud Director. NaviSite added these capabilities through a partnership with Zerto, which specializes in BC/DR solutions for virtualized infrastructure and cloud environments.

As a result, it’s easier for businesses to migrate workloads from one location to another – from cloud to cloud or from customer to cloud, either for load balancing or disaster recovery purposes.

“With this NaviCloud Director replication enhancement, we are providing customers with solutions that meet their needs for flexibility, security, scalability and business continuity while also reducing the amount of time and resources spent to manage the systems,” said Chris Patterson, senior director of product management for NaviSite.
