Phone systems provider Mitel has launched its version of UCaaS for enterprises, pitting itself against rivals including 8×8 and ShoreTel.

Canada-based Mitel rolled out MiCloud Enterprise UCaaS to the channel on Monday; the platform is immediately available in the United States and will be introduced to several international markets throughout the year.

A number of partners already have signed up to offer the white-label version of MiCloud. Those partners include Blue Violet Networks, Core Technologies, Eon Networks, Fulton Communications, JEM Communications, Qbase, Towner Communications Systems, Transwest and TSI Global Companies. Via the white-label option, partners get to supply Mitel’s UCaaS product under their own brands.

“Mitel is helping our partners capitalize on the industry shift toward cloud-based business communications,” said Jon Brinton, executive vice president and general manager of Mitel Cloud Services. “For many channel partners, this solution is their bridge to being able to deploy and support their own cloud service while creating recurring revenue streams and providing their customers attractive services for business communications in the cloud.”
