MegaPath on Monday introduced an enhanced UC service, with integrated enterprise-class collaboration for businesses of all sizes, and its new Skype for Business Integration.

MegaPath's Kurt HoffmanMegaPath One combines IP business telephony with video calling, instant messaging, presence and online conferencing in a single application that works on Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android smartphones and tablets. It supports a virtual collaboration space called My Room and the ability for users to take turns sharing their screen within the same group session.

“With the rise of hyper-connected talent joining the workforce, businesses need collaboration tools that allow colleagues, partners and customers to quickly connect via multiple platforms across locations,” said Kurt Hoffman, MegaPath’s president and CEO. “Today’s release of MegaPath One addresses the industry demand for an all-in-one UC and telephony solution that goes beyond instant messaging and presence to include Outlook integration, simplified audio and video conferencing capabilities and more.”

The Skype for Business Integration gives businesses that have adopted Skype for Business the ability to integrate it with MegaPath’s mobility-enhanced business telephony system, Hosted Voice. Similar to MegaPath One, users of Skype for Business Integration with Hosted VoIP can use their desktop Skype application and MegaPath desk phone interchangeably for outbound and inbound calls using their business VoIP number.{ad}

Both services are now available.

“For those businesses that have already adopted Skype for Business for their messaging and internal collaboration needs, Skype for Business Integration greatly enhances their UC experience by bridging Skype for Business with our advanced telephony service, at a fraction of the cost of traditional PBX integrations,” said Arnaud Gautier, MegaPath’s senior vice president of product and marketing.
