Interactive Intelligence Releases Updated SIP Gateway

Interactive Intelligence Inc. has released its second-generation SIP Interaction Gateway.

The updated gateway, which enables connections between traditional trunk lines (T1s and E1s) and VoIP networks, includes new support for protocols like EuroISDN, new fax support and a more scalable eight-span model, the company said.

In addition to North American digital trunk support, the Interaction Gateway now supports E1/EuroISDN and E1/QSIG. Interactive Intelligence said it is securing certification and approval for telephony, safety, emissions and packaging to offer the gateway throughout most countries, including all European Union countries.

The Interaction Gateway is offered in a four-span and eight-span model to support organizations with several hundred to 1,000 or more users depending on applications deployed and interaction volume.

The product is offered with the Interactive Intelligence contact center automation and enterprise IP telephony systems. It also can be deployed with the companys Interaction Dialer module to provide extensive support of call analysis for contact centers with high-volume outbound dialing requirements, the Interactive said.

The Interaction Gateway lets organizations deploy the device anywhere on the network for a more cost-effective implementation through the reduction of long distance charges, the company said.

The updated Interaction Gateway is available through the Interactive Intelligence dealers and global channel, which has more than 250 VARs. The company also said it is seeking original equipment manufacturer partners interested in reselling the gateway in non-Interactive Intelligence contact center and enterprise environments.
