Intelisys’ Justin Marano

Justin Marano is the company’s new vice president of sales for the Northeast. He had been serving as director of Northeast sales. Intelisys credited Marano for “extensive industry knowledge and outstanding responsiveness to his partners’ unique needs.”

Intelisys President Jay Bradley said his company aims to improve experiences for partners, vendors and customers in an age of converging technology and business models.

“Justin’s singular focus has always been on supporting our sales partners, putting them first in all that he does,” Bradley said. “His ability to build and manage high-growth sales teams and partners makes him an ideal fit for his new role. He will continue to be a leading support to our partners as they navigate new opportunities for growth.”

Marano said on Wednesday that he will support the “remarkable growth” of Intelisys subagents.

“Our partners are realizing incredible opportunities, and these opportunities will continue to grow as the IT and telecom industries converge,” Marano said. “I am committed to providing the dedicated support and resources our sales partners rely on and trust, as they experience this remarkable growth.”

Marano has worked for two major channel-focused companies in his career: Intelisys and XO Communications. He joined Allegiance Telecom out of college in 2000, three years before XO acquired the local exchange carrier. Marano joined Intelisys in 2011 as a senior manager of strategic partner development.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in September.

Rick Ribas, senior vice president of national partner sales, called Marano a “driving force” at Intelisys.

“His creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to our sales partners’ success have been invaluable during this transformational time in the channel,” Ribas said. “Justin’s reputation as a leader, and his commitment to excellence, make him the perfect fit for this new role, and will empower our partner community as they continue to achieve phenomenal success.”

Ribas had been serving as senior vice president of partner sales for the East. His July promotion helped open the door for Marano to become VP of sales for the Northeast.

Intelisys two weeks ago announced another personnel change. It brought on Ben Magday as a solutions engineer. We highlighted the move in our “People on the Move” gallery.
