Cloud communications provider IntelePeer has integrated Vidtel’s MeetMe cloud video conferencing service into its SIP trunking portfolio, which means partners may sell an expanded range of UC capabilities.
The new service lets participants join conferences from a variety of devices, including traditional video systems as well as laptops, tablets and smartphones. The platform is fully hosted, so no additional equipment investment is required. MeetMe provides video conferencing across traditional SIP and H.323 hardware endpoints, plus SIP soft clients such as Cisco Jabber, WebRTC-based browsers, and consumer applications such as Google Talk and Skype.
“Organizations gain access to a comprehensive suite of communications and collaboration enablement solutions, all delivered as an easily accessed, over-the-top cloud service,” said Margaret Norton, chief marketing officer at IntelePeer.
Scott Wharton, CEO of Vidtel, said the IntelePeer-Vidtel platform gives organizations “all of the benefits of video conferencing, but…none of the traditional operational and economic barriers that have hampered deployment.”
The joint product is available now.
