GLOBALINX Joins Cloud Communications Alliance
Voice and data provider GLOBALINX announced Wednesday that it has been accepted as a member into the Cloud Communications Alliance.
The CCA was created last year by companies using BroadWorks, the VoIP platform from Broadsoft Inc., to promote the development of cloud communications. Since then the alliance has been pursuing new technical standards and capabilities.
Alliance membership is by invitation only. GLOBALINX is the 10th company to be inducted into the group. The existing members include Alteva, Broadcore, Callis Communications, Consolidated Technologies Inc., IPFone, SimpleSignal, Stage 2 Networks and Telesphere.
A wholly owned subsidiary of 5LINX Enterprises Inc., GLOBALINX provides VoIP services, including hosted PBX, SIP trunking, SIP interconnect, residential VoIP and video phones. GLOBALINX also supports a full suite of traditional voice and data services.
“We are very excited to be a part of this unique, innovative group,” said Michael Machonkin, GLOBALINX vice president of sales and marketing. “We look forward to sharing best practices and brainstorming new applications and, hopefully, we can bring some ideas to the table to benefit everyone.”
