Global Crossing Adds Juniper Networks to Offerings

Global Crossing (GLBC) announced it has added Juniper Networks equipment to its Managed Network Services (MNS) portfolio. Specifically, Global Crossing MNS now will support Juniper Networks J Series Services Routers, M Series Multiservice Edge Routers, and SRX Series Services Gateways. Global Crossing also will enhance its MNS with Juniper Networks WXC Series Application Acceleration Platforms for WAN Optimization.

“Increasingly, businesses are looking for carriers to give them more ways to solve critical communication issues,” said Dave Carey, Global Crossing’s chief marketing officer. “By expanding our MNS offer to include Juniper Networks, we’re giving our customers a strong option for equipment sourced as part of their managed network solution. We’ve also chosen to partner with Juniper Networks to deliver WAN Optimization with the Juniper Networks WXC Series because it enables us to enhance our product offering with a best-in-class platform that provides customers with an end-to-end solution.”

Global Crossing MNS provide and manage the entire array of networking solutions for enterprises, said the company. These include design and engineering; equipment procurement; implementation management; equipment installation; operations management; proactive monitoring, and lifecycle management. As part of the Global Crossing MNS offer, the company also supports and sources other router manufacturers.
