Mobile collaboration vendor Fuze Box has released a version of its Fuze Meeting conferencing offering for Android OS-based tablets, complementing its iPad offering the company released in September.

Fuze Meeting for Android Tablets allows users to attend online Fuze-based meetings. An upgrade to the app, slated for early 2011, will also allow users to host and moderate meetings.

With the new release, users have the ability to use VoIP to attend meetings, eliminating the need for a phone connection a feature that also has been added to the Fuze Meeting for Android Phone application. The app also provides the ability to view a shared computer desktop real-time from an Android device, as well as watch and listen to video and audio with start, stop and pause functionality.

Additionally, users can share content from the Android tablet in a meeting. In presenter designation, users can share video or image files by uploading directly from their device.

Fuze, formerly CallWave, was formally launched last summer with Fuze Meeting and Tweetshare, an application that brands Twitter updates. The company is building its channel program and already has Fuze Meeting apps for the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Android phone, PC and Mac.

Fuze Meeting for Android Tablets is available now through the Android Market.
