FSH Closes Fox Telecom Acquisition

Service provider FSH Communications this week closed its acquisition of systems integrator Fox Telecom.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Chicago-based FSH’s portfolio includes VoIP, video and ATM services; telecom installation, management and maintenance; and call center service and support. FSH bought Qwest Communications’ payphone and inmate-calling services assets in 2004. The company says it has 20,000 distribution partners and it’s adding to those numbers with the Fox Telecom purchase.

To that point, Fox Telecom holds several important designations. It’s Bose-certified and is a Corning Networks Preferred Installer, authorized Avaya dealer, and a Belden-certified system vendor. Fox Telecom sets up and tests equipment for end users and also provides design and installation services for voice/data/video networks.

Investment bank Cornhusker Capital LLC served as the lead advisor for the FSH-Fox transaction. Fox Telecom founder Tony Fox will retain an executive role in the combined company.
