Forget the Die – Press a Button!
What is the most addictive game to enter the 21st century?
A: The Trivial Pursuit mobile game
Trivial Pursuit, the quint-essential game for pop culture
junkies, has moved off the game board and onto mobile handsets.
Starwave Mobile and Horn Abbot Ltd., owner of the Trivial
Pursuit trademark, recently launched the mobile adaptation with frequent updates
so subscribers do not encounter repeats. The mobile version offers single player
and pass the phone options. There also are tournament challenges so
players can compete for the highest listed score.
The Trivial Pursuit mobile game is available through select
carriers; Starwave Mobile plans to roll out the game to more carriers
nationwide.
Take a Virtual Test Drive
Rev your engines and check your cell phones. BMW is offering
consumers a first look at its new 3 Series model, but only through
Internet-enabled mobile phones.
The car company will unveil the 3 Series this spring; to get a
preview, though, call +1 703 286 BMW3 to see, hear and experience the new car.
The micro-Web site includes photos, graphics and product information on BMWs
latest vehicle, and lets consumers choose to receive updates as the car nears
its launch.
We are excited to be previewing our new 3 Series with a
cutting-edge marketing initiative, says Jim McDowell, vice president of marketing for BMW of
North America. Though the best way to truly experience the sheer joy of
driving a BMW is through a test drive, consumers can experience the next best
thing through their mobile phone.
Overheard…
In five or 10 years, we may look at wireless operators as
bit pipes, and the MVNOs will be the providers.
