Unified communications (UC) veteran David Beagle has joined major hosted telecom brand Fonality as the company’s vice president of channel development.

Beagle brings with him 12 years of experience in UCaaS and VoIP, most recently at phone system company ShoreTel. Before that, he spent 10 years at M5, ShoreTel’s cloud-based acquisition (and Fonality competitor), where he helped develop the company’s channel program. Fonality was one of the first UCaaS providers to present voice, chat, presence, call control, video and audio conferencing through one desktop interface. Today that application works across Android and Apple mobile devices as well.

Fonality’s partner program offers master service agents, managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs) three deployment models on their path to reselling sophisticated VoIP and UC services: public cloud, private cloud and hybrid hosted. In the last model, the Fonality PBX/server resides on-premises, but administrative functions are served through a browser interface, from Fonality redundant data centers.
