Mitel, the provider of business phones, VoIP, unified communications, collaboration, contact center and more, is wrapping up a big year — not only in its business overall but particularly its channel program.

Executive editor Craig Galbraith sat down for this Channel Partners Fast Chat with Jim McGarry, Mitel’s UCaaS channel director, Central region, to learn more.

On recent successes in the Mitel channel program:

“This is really the first time in our history we’ve spent so much time focusing on master agents and the partners out there who had not traditionally sold Mitel from the legacy PBX side and obviously [now are] moving everything into the UCaaS section of their business,” said McGarry.

On the competitive market and Mitel’s differentiators:

“From a UCaaS and a CCaaS perspective … what we want to communicate to our partners out there is that when you’re experiencing an implementation or what we call an activation with Mitel, the fact that every implementation you have, regardless if it’s five users or 50,000 users, is always going to have a dedicated partner manager attached to it, who’s going to be responsible for the project, soup to nuts, from kickoff all the way to handoff and support,” he said.
