Dialogic, the cloud-optimized applications and infrastructure solutions provider, is partnering with Epsilon to launch a managed and hosted carrier-class UCaaS platform based on its Dialogic Buzz UC platform.

Dialogic Buzz offers a single platform to address calling, conferencing and collaboration, and an API-driven architecture to enable the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and IoT technologies. This will allow service providers and channel partners to offer carrier-class enhanced UCaaS services to their customers without investing in infrastructure, Dialogic said.

Miguel Lopes, Dialogic’s vice president of product management, tells Channel Partners this provides another business model option for communications service providers (CSPs) interested in Dialogic Buzz.

“Today, our business models include capex on-premises and monthly subscription on-premises,” he said. “This announcement adds the option of a monthly subscription hosted model, eliminating the need for investment in infrastructure. [It] will create new opportunities for our CSP customers as it removes the worry about infrastructure and connectivity needs, and allows them to focus on their business while achieving a reduced time to market.”

Epsilon will host the Dialogic Buzz UCaaS platform in its global Tier-3 colocation facilities while extending connectivity to enterprises through its global connectivity services. Buzz customers gain access to Epsilon’s connectivity and intelligent communications services, including Ethernet data-center interconnection, direct connectivity to cloud and internet exchanges, internet and hybrid SD-WAN, as well as a voice portfolio of enterprise-grade SIP trunking, inbound, porting and termination services.

We recently compiled a list of 20 top UCaaS providers offering products and services via channel partners.

Epsilon’s global network fabric is deployed in more than 100 data-center hubs with direct connectivity to hundreds of cloud services, internet exchanges and network service providers.

Lopes said regardless of deployment model, Buzz will give Dialogic partners a competitive edge by offering a single platform for all business communication needs, and a tailored user experience that’s enhanced by interworking with IoT devices and extended by using AI to incorporate advanced features such as chatbots, call transcription, intent analysis, workflow automation and fraud detection.

CSPs that already offer a UC platform can add Buzz as an option for their customers, or to target a different market, such as SMBs or large enterprises, he said.

“These [partners] can keep their existing offering, but easily add a separately target offering for this new market, while reaping the benefits [of] reduced infrastructure costs and time to market,” Lopes said.

“Epsilon is pleased to be working with Dialogic as the leader in the real-time communications space,” said Jerzy Szlosarek, Epsilon’s CEO. “Our shared vision in using cloud-centric software and an API-driven framework will offer service providers and channel partners an accelerated path to competitive and innovative UCaaS cloud offerings. Not only will users of this service be able to enjoy the features of the powerful Dialogic Buzz platform, but they will also have on-demand access to Epsilon’s carrier-grade, next-generation network through our software-defined networking (SDN) platform, Infiny.”
