Onvoy Inc. (Booth 730), the innovative service provider based in Minneapolis, has opened its Bandwagon wholesale consumer VoIP service to facilities-based CLECs, defined by Onvoy as those that have the ability to offer local phone numbers, maintain the 911 database and order LIS trunks.

Previously, the service has been offered only to incumbent LECs, mostly independent operating companies.

The Bandwagon service is packaged as a ready-to-sell consumer VoIP service, including a feature package, a customizable Web portal, equipment (such as terminal adaptors), billing, training materials for the retailers staff and a marketing package with a television advertisement. The portal can be customized with the service providers logo and will give end users the ability to change service options and view call logs.

Bandwagon is primarily a consumer service and includes E911, giving service providers the option of offering it as a primary line service over DSL. It has several features of interest to small business, such as the ability to ring up to six phones simultaneously.

Onvoy is a business and consumer service provider covering the Midwest that emphasizes using new technology to deliver new customer-focused services and features. The company has developed several different hosted VoIP packages and services for business, including services aimed at important vertical markets in its area, notably the health care industry.
