Carrier Sales Taps InContact Channel Executive as Contact Center VP

There’s a new vice president of sales at CarrierSales, the Utah-based master agency.
It’s Ray Hicken, who comes off a four-year stint at inContact – the contact center provider – where he most recently served as director of channel sales for the company. Before that, he was a regional channel sales manager and account executive manager.
Fittingly, Hicken will be responsible for contact-center sales at CarrierSales, where he will work on the company’s ongoing initiatives and relationships with partners and consultants as they pertain to contact centers.
“I have had the opportunity to support many masters over the years and I’m thrilled to be joining one of the industry’s elite in CarrierSales,” Hicken said in a prepared statement. “CarrierSales has been strategically positioning themselves to be a leader in helping their partners sell cloud, specifically in the contact center space. With only 13 percent of the contact centers today operating in the cloud and with the massive paradigm shift to the cloud, CarrierSales has a front seat to be the leader in this race to the cloud. I look forward to continuing the momentum here and to further propel CarrierSales ahead in that race.”
Building CarrierSales’ Cloud Contact Center Coalition will be another of Hicken’s tasks. He plans to network and collaborate with contact-center consultants to strengthen the role of the Coalition in the industry.
Hicken’s hiring is just the latest in a series of moves at CarrierSales and other master agencies in their ongoing efforts to offer more holistic, problem-solving services – not just through agents and consultants, but also through IT-centric VARs and MSPs.
