WinStar, VoCall Sign $150 Million Contract

New York-based WinStar Communications has announced it has been awarded a five-year,
$150 million contract from VoCall Communications Corp., Mountainside, N.J.

Under the terms of the deal, WinStar–together with Murray Hill, N.J.-based Lucent
Technologies Inc.–will deliver a virtual private network (VPN) to VoCall using Internet
protocol (IP) telephony as its telecommunications infrastructure.

Through its alliance with WinStar, VoCall not only will expand its current
telecommunications services, it also will offer a new array of prepaid and postpaid
services, including Internet access, domestic and international long distance, competitive
local exchange carrier (CLEC) services and wireless connectivity.
