PNG Signs $36 Million Contract with Qwest
PNG, now doing business as PowerNet Global Communications, Cincinnati, has awarded
Denver-based Qwest Communications Inc. a $36 million, multiyear contract for a suite of
communications solutions including frame relay, high-speed private line and domestic and
international long distance services.
As a Qwest wholesale customer, PowerNet Global will be using the company’s network to
provide a variety of these services to businesses and consumers nationwide.
According to PowerNet Global CEO Bernie Stevens, signing on as a Qwest customer is a
strategic decision geared to expanding his company’s footprint in the marketplace, as well
as boost its agent program.
"By working with Qwest, we can expand our reach to become even more
competitive," he said in a press release. "With access to Qwest’s full array of
communications solutions, our growing agent base will be able to provide customers
top-quality services at very competitive prices."
