BullsEye Telecom is in a new partnership with RedShift Networks to provide advanced cybersecurity for protecting and securing enterprise VoIP/SIP-based networks.

BullsEye provides secured communications, networks and advanced technologies to thousands of business locations across the United States. It now has implemented RedShift’s VoIP security, threat intelligence analytics and proactive fraud prevention technology.

Vilas Uchil, BullsEye’s vice president of technology and engineering, tells Channel Partners the partnership offers security toward theft, fraud and DDoS attacks.

“BullsEye and its channel partners will be able to offer peace of mind to clients with our UCaaS solutions,” he said. “They would not have to worry about VoIP call frauds and theft of their services.”

BullsEye is among the “few UCaaS service providers” that proactively monitors traffic in real time using RedShift’s early detection system to stop or block attacks, Uchil said. BullsEye has systems in place to prevent UCaaS fraud, theft and downtime, he said.

“BullsEye and RedShift engineers have been working together for several years,” he said. “We have integrated RedShift’s unified communication threat management (UCTM) in our network to provide real-time monitoring, early threat and fraud detection. The system also provides visibility to end-to-end signaling for our support teams to help triangulate challenges in client network within record times.”

VoIP-based network attacks have been increasing year after year, Uchil said.

“The cybercriminals are using something as simple as brute force dictionary attack on endpoints to gain SIP authentication, which allows them to hijack UCaaS clients and commit fraud,” he said. “We also see SIP-based denial of service attacks. On the other end, criminals use [a] sophisticated technique to manipulate SIP headers to invoke specialized VoIP features for fraud. Our partnership with state-of-the-art security players like RedShift allows BullsEye to protect a client’s assets and provide them safety against breaches and compromise.”

In addition to real-time unified thread research by RedShift, BullsEye’s growing product suite includes SD-WAN, cloud security, VoIP-based key systems, broadband, traditional phone service and IoT.
