Broadwing Launches PRIorityConnect

By Tara Seals

Broadwing Communications LLC (Booth 611) has launched Broadwing PRIorityConnect, a service that allows carriers and enterprises to expand their service footprints without purchasing and deploying additional network infrastructure.

PRIorityConnect is an intra/interLATA service that enables customers to centralize call completion by consolidating end-user traffic from branch locations. The company can provide host and remote site connectivity via its nationwide, all-optical network using a customers existing voice platform, as well as supporting customer migration from circuit-switch to VoIP platforms.

In addition to carriers and enterprises, Broadwing PRIorityConnect also targets universities and federal, state and local governments with campus environments. The product is available as a bundle with Broadwings diverse suite of private-line services, and affords the customer ease of use with one vendor for multiple services, the company says.

Broadwing PRIorityConnect is a perfect solution for VoIP and enhanced service providers who want to leverage their existing equipment to serve remote markets, and enterprises with branch locations that are deploying an IP PBX, says Mark Pugerude, senior vice president of marketing and business development for Broadwing. The IP technology, combined with the reliability, scalability and operational simplicity of Broadwings nationwide, all-optical network allows us to offer advanced communications services nationwide.
