Los Angeles-based Broadvoice, the hosted voice and unified communications provider, has hired Anita Sharifi as a new channel manager in the Southwest region.

Sharifi started her telecommunications career with Cbeyond as a direct sales representative, later switching over to the indirect side as a regional channel manager at the company. Broadvoice attributes Sharifi’s success as a top sales rep to her ability to develop custom solutions to help meet customer needs – ultimately helping them grow their businesses.

“Anita’s past success in the Southern California region makes her a perfect complement to the newly expanded channel team and a key addition to the Broadvoice family,” said Jim Murphy, Broadvoice CEO. “Coupling our continuously evolving hosted voice and unified communications solutions with Anita’s commitment to her partners is a winning recipe for her continued success.”

“I am excited to join a company that is devoted to providing an excellent customer experience through top-notch customer service and feature-rich communication solutions,” said Sharifi. “I look forward to helping Broadvoice expand its reach in Southern California and beyond, and further solidifying Broadvoice as a leader in the hosted voice and unified communications industry.”

Broadvoice’s partner program consists of agents and VARs. The company promises its agents sales engineering and technical support; sales/account management support; and fast provisioning and commission payouts. VARs get high commissions and a professional support team to guide them through every step of the sale, the company said.

Sharifi joins Cathe Shandle as a Southwest channel manager. Shandle was just named to her post last month.
