Taxation solutions company BillSoft Inc. (Booth 100) announced at the CompTel/ASCENT Spring 2005 Convention & Expo that it is partnering with a tax compliance firm. BillSoft says Smart & Associates LLP, a business advisory and accounting group, will be the preferred tax consulting implementation partner for BillSofts Total Tax Solution.

BillSoft says its alliance with Smarts tax consulting expertise offers businesses a strong implementation and follow-through assurance procedure. One of the companies first joint projects is to implement tax systems at Transaction Network Services Inc. (TNS, Booth 816) in Reston, Va., improving their tax compliance capabilities and client services.

Smarts tax technology professionals incorporate a technical tax background with a knowledge of tax processing and compliance software package design. The firm says its experience extends beyond the initial implementation to include post-implementation support and maintenance, avoiding the pitfalls associated with theory-only methodologies.

BillSoft provides software solutions to the telecommunication, cable and retail industries worldwide, helping them take control of and enhance billing processes.
