AVESTOR Debuts New 80Ah LMP Battery

AVESTOR (Booth 1604), a world leader in lithium-metal-polymer (LMP) battery technology, is launching its second LMP battery for the telecommunications market, the SE48S80 battery with 80Ah at 48 volts.

As the second product in the line of LMP batteries developed by AVESTOR, the SE48S80 battery features more power, new features and greater energy density.

The purpose of the increased capacity built into this new battery is to grow the energy capacity delivered without changing any characteristics of the container. We worked to improve the energy of this second product with our customers requirements and needs in mind, says John Haddock, president and CEO of AVESTOR.

We are proud to say that this new product will become the answer for numerous telecom and network service providers that wont have to make any changes in their current physical facilities or telecom supply. No additional training will be required for the employees who are handling and monitoring our current SE48S63 batteries.

Several North American service providers have endorsed this major technological advance, and for good reason, continues Haddock. All the features in the AVESTOR core product are also in this one. At as little as one-third the volume and one-quarter of the weight of traditional lead-acid batteries, the SE48S80 is the densest battery in the industry, which makes it ideal for all applications where space and/or weight are at a premium.

Similar to the SE48S63, the SE48S80 is completely maintenance-free, has a long and predictable service life, and provides accurate alarming and remote monitoring with more power backup capacity. AVESTOR LMP batteries are all guaranteed for 10 years. The SE48S80s outstanding performance in extreme temperatures makes it

the perfect solution for uncontrolled environments such as outdoor cabinet applications. AVESTOR took a big step in improving this new products capacity by more than 30 percent without causing any increase to operational costs for its service provider customers or for its partners already familiar with the SE48S63.

Through 25 years of research and development, AVESTOR efforts have resulted in a unique and innovative design, based on entirely dry and solid electrochemistry. Since 2004, AVESTOR LMP batteries have been deployed in large numbers by various North American telecommunications operators in both existing and new applications.
