An AT&T workers leap from the fifth floor of his office building is initially being called a suicide, but detectives say they will investigate further.

Police say Ralph Merritt, 46, jumped to his death Friday morning from the fifth floor of the B building at the AT&T complex in Bedminster, N.J.  He landed in the atrium below. No one else was hurt. No word what might have caused Merritt to jump. Anyone with additional information is being asked to call police.

AT&T employees have dealt with a lot of tragedy this year. In April, a technician in Detroit died after being electrocuted while working on a power pole. In May, an AT&T office worker was shot in the head during a mugging, but survived. And later that month, police had to shoot and kill an elderly man inside and AT&T store. They say he had a hit list of employees who he wanted to kill because he was not satisfied with their customer service.
