AT&T: White Pages a Hardship

AT&T Inc.’s (T) Georgia branch is asking the state’s Public Service Commission for permission to stop delivering white pages to residents.

Customers could still get a hard copy of the white pages, if they don’t want to use online services, for free upon request.

AT&T calls the printing and delivery of white pages a “substantial hardship” that no longer is necessary in light of the Internet.
