AT&T Announces New Hosted Voice, Collaboration Services for Business

AT&T this week announced new cloud-based hosted voice and collaboration services for businesses.

AT&T's Kevin LeonardAT&T Collaborate includes instant messaging and presence, audio, video and Web conferencing, and content sharing. Users receive a basic voice seat with more than 30 calling features, plus a mobile client for use on their smartphone or tablet. In addition, users can choose from several capabilities to design their individual service.

Users also receive access to an administrator portal that allows them to add new users or update features. They can control how to handle calls or conferences, with the ability to assign which devices will take incoming calls, or switch from one device to another mid-conversation.

“We are always looking for ways to expand the reach of our products and services through our solution providers, which is why rollout plans for AT&T Collaborate include the AT&T Alliance Program, Kevin Leonard, vice president, alternate channels, AT&T, told Channel Partners. “AT&T Collaborate is a robust cloud voice and collaboration solution that we think would fit well in our AT&T Alliance Program portfolio. We actually had the opportunity to give our solution providers a sneak peek at the solution, and their feedback was extremely positive.”

AT&T Collaborate is expected to be available to targeted business market segments in the U.S. at the end of April. It will continue to expand the reach of this offering throughout 2016.{ad}

“With AT&T Collaborate, you’re able to design a collaboration solution that best fits your business needs – whether you need basic voice capabilities or a full unified communications experience,” said Rick Hubbard, senior vice president of networking product management, AT&T Business Solutions. “The solution provides a flexible way for you to connect your employees while helping control costs and complexity.”

Last month, AT&T announced its new Landline Texting service that allows businesses and government agencies to send and receive text messages using their landline or toll-free phone number.
