Arkadin, a collaboration and UC provider that sells through channel partners, has launched Webcast Elite.

The new service supports 12 languages and works on computers, mobile phones or tablets. It lets users create, publish, and analyze audio and video webcasts in a SaaS setting. It serves as an alternative for making presentations via web conferencing and webinars, Arkadin said, since it’s more flexible than those platforms.

For example, Webcast Elite comes with the ability to measure attendee participation through surveys, live Q&A and polling. Buyers also may display their company logos, do on-demand viewing for up to 1,000 people, and conduct live interaction with Twitter and Facebook. Plus, Webcast Elite works with Arkadin’s full-service webcast product.

Arkadin is calling Webcast Elite a “game changer” because it makes webcast technology available to smaller organizations, and because it allows for a DIY approach. In other words, users don’t need training or technical knowledge to follow the step-by-step process. Such factors promise to appeal to VARs, MSPs, agents and other solution providers serving businesses.

Possible uses for Webcast Elite include sales and marketing campaigns, corporate communications events, eLearning and employee recruitment.

Arkadin is an NTT Communications company; NTT became the firm’s majority owner last year.
