Welcome

AireSpring just named Chris Breving its new director of access product management. The 32-year telecom industry veteran brings experience in data and voice network services, cost management and more to the job.

AireSpring’s Chris Breving

As access product management director at AireSpring, Breving’s job is to expand U.S. coverage and improve pricing for the company’s connectivity options by adding new vendors. He also will work with all network partners to help make AireSpring even more competitive.

Breving most recently was director of network planning and management at NetFortris. In that position, he helped the business communications provider acquire new carrier partners for the resale of access circuits. He also negotiated special ICB pricing to win new deals and managed teams for presales pricing and carrier orders. In addition, Breving helped with capacity management and put in place a streamlined quoting system.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in May.

“We are very pleased to have Chris on board … ” said Wendell Nelson, senior vice president of wholesale for AireSpring. “Chris brings with him the kind of deep experience, broad knowledge base and sterling track record that AireSpring values.”

Breving joins the AireSpring when the company is growing globally, “while seeking to ensure the best possible pricing and networking efficiency for our customers,” Nelson added.

Breving’s job history also includes nine years at Cincinnati Bell, where he was director of network design and engineering. Partners might further know him from his days at PowerNet Global Communications, where he was director of business services. He also spent seven years at Gateway Communications.

This is AireSpring’s second key hire from NetFortris this year. The company in February tapped John Young, a 13-year NetFortris alum, to lead its channel team.

AireSpring specializes in unified communications, managed network and IT services.
