AireSpring enlarged its channel team again and increased touch-points in the Southeast.

The connectivity and cloud communications provider hired Jesse Michael as the region’s channel manager. He will work out of Atlanta, recruiting and developing southeastern partners in step with AireSpring’s “100-percent channel-focused” sales approach.

AireSpring’s Jesse Michael

Michael’s new employer praised his history of building relationships in telecom in within direct and indirect sales roles. Michael most recently worked for Verizon Business Markets. He helped build the company’s partner portfolio and manage business continuity solutions as a client executive.

“Jesse brings on board a deep commitment to serving the channel as well as a true understanding of the customer’s perspective,” said Ron McNab, AireSpring senior vice president of channel sales. “Jesse can speak from direct experience about the lasting benefits of AireSpring’s white-glove concierge service and dedicated support for our partners.”

Michael also worked at a cloud/IT consultancy from 2015-2018. Other past employers include Windstream and Allegiance Telecom, where he served as an account executive. He was also a business development partner manager for Peak 10 and ViaWest.

AireSpring still has a channel manager position open and has added numerous employees in the previous year. Some of the new appointments filled in regional gaps and reminded us of TBI’s meticulous geographical expansion. The new employees bring a rich background of experience in telecommunications/voice, and many, like Michael, have a Verizon connection.

Verizon alum Tim Chenoweth came on board as director of voice vendor management in 2017. AireSpring later hired a channel manager for the Southwest who previously worked for Birch Communications and Verizon-bought XO Communications. Josh Redick, a former member of XO and Windstream, joined as Northeast channel director last August. Shane Speakerman, vice president of sales operations and channel strategy,  is yet another former XO Communications to join in the previous year.
