* Two former regional vice presidents at Teleglobe Business Solutions (www.teleglobe.com) have accepted appointments at Globalcom Inc.
(www.global-com.com). Tom Turner formerly ran Teleglobe’s West Coast agent channel. At Globalcom he will head up a newly introduced national agent program as vice president, alternate channels. Jim Tarantino has been appointed Globalcom’s senior vice president, sales, after running Teleglobe’s Midwestern agent program.

* Master agency U S Telebrokers Inc. (www.ustelebrokers.com), in conjunction with Compass Telecommunications Inc.
(www.compasstel.com), a CLEC, have announced the introduction of a one number, enhanced communications and long distance platform called Compass
FasTrack.

By consolidating work, home, mobile telephones, fax, pager and voice mail services into one number, Compass FasTrack allows all-in-one communication access. The user easily can program the single number via the Internet, telephone or fax.

* The Agent Alliance
(www.agentalliance.net) has announced the election of two officers to serve until September. Paul Silicato of Global Systems Telecom Inc.
(www.TheGlobalZone.com), was elected president for a term that ends in September. He succeeds Bill Power of Associated Resource Group
(www.assnresource.com). Kieren McCobb of TeleConfusion Removal Inc. was elected vice president. He succeeds Ted Schuman of U S Telebrokers Inc.
(www.ustelebrokers.com).

* The Independent Agent Network Inc.
(www.top25ld.com) has introduced the “Instant Call” program, which provides telemarketing coverage and lead qualification to the carriers, and personalized information on advanced products, services and promotions to the agents.

Providers with advanced offerings not suited to ad or fax blast coverage can contract IAN to call its 7,210 members and explain new programs.

* Global Crossing Telecommunications
(www.globalcrossing.com) has introduced three web-based services for its partner network. The services are a partner extranet
(www.globalcrossing.com/partners),
an online account management tool known as uCommand, and a web-based subscription service called
NetCents.

The extranet offers 24-hour access to online contract forms, order forms, capability presentations and FAQs. uCommand, a network management tool, permits real-time service management via the Internet. NetCents takes Internet subscriptions and offers surfers a link to the site. Global Crossing’s integrated systems structure links the portals, assigns each partner a specific tracking ID, and provides commissions.
