Zenith Infotech Plans 124 MSP Events
Zenith Infotech plans to host 124 U.S. Open Houses in the first quarter of 2010 — part of a push to promote managed services infrastructure and business continuity services to solutions providers targeting small and mid-size companies. Take a closer look and you’ll notice this is part of a larger trend that’s accelerating across the managed services market: Software companies hitting the road and holding face-to-face engagements, open houses and user group gatherings.
In Zenith Infotech‘s case, the company plans to kick off its open houses on Jan. 6 in Austin, Texas. The event is sponsored by Autotask. Solutions providers that attend the event will receive a free 45-day trial of Zenith’s managed services offering or a 30-day trial of its business continuity solution. The move reflects the growing freemium trend. Indeed, ConnectWise has used the freemium strategy in multiple webcasts, and N-able is offering its channel partners free endpoint security (with an assist from Panda Security).
At the same time, many MSP-centric software companies are on the road organizing user groups across North America, Europe and Australia.
Back at Zenith Infotech, I’ve reached out to the company for comment about the 124 U.S. Open Houses, which are scheduled for Q1 2010, according to a company press release. I’ll let you know what I hear.
