StorageCraft Updates Cloud Services, Now Offers BDR for Linux Users
StorageCraft has added networking and security features to its StorageCraft Cloud Services backup and disaster recovery (BDR) offerings.
Managed service providers (MSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs) can now run a recovery network in the StorageCraft Cloud “that is as good as their production network” and leverage configurable firewalls for every recovery network run in StorageCraft Cloud Services, a company spokesperson told MSPmentor.
“Users can configure their recovery network to meet their unique needs,” the spokesperson said. “Partners can expect to use a scalable, fault-tolerant offsite replication target with no single point of failure when depending on StorageCraft Cloud Services.”
Brandon Nordquist, StorageCraft’s vice president of product management, added that StorageCraft Cloud Services ensure MSPs and VARs “will have an efficient, reliable tool needed in resuming network and business operations after a disaster strikes.”
StorageCraft Cloud Services have maintained 99.99 percent uptime of cloud operations since their launch in Dec. 2012, StorageCraft said, and offer MSPs and VARs:
- File and folder access
- Instant virtualization and networking of cloud-based backups
- Personal control of cloud backups
In addition, StorageCraft has introduced StorageCraft ShadowProtect SPX, a StorageCraft Recover-Ability solution for Linux users.
MSPs and VARs can use ShadowProtect SPX to capture an entire Linux hard drive, according to StorageCraft. This release delivers data BDR and managed system migration for Linux physical and virtual servers.
StorageCraft continues to explore new ways to provide BDR support to MSPs and VARs, too.
For example, StorageCraft last year unveiled plug-ins that allow its partners to offer BDR services from VMware (VMW) vCenter and Microsoft (MSFT) System Center. The Draper, Utah-based BDR services provider also integrated with ConnectWise in December to help MSPs and VARs streamline their billing processes.
