Less than one week ahead of Ingram Micro One in Washington, D.C., the distributor on Tuesday said its new custom Integration Center is open for partner business.

At the same time, Ingram Micro reported a new Integrated Solutions group, a redo of its Components business unit. The team will focus on accelerating the channel’s time to market with custom solutions and optimized individual components. Both the Integrated Solutions group and the Integration Center fall within Ingram Micro’s Advanced Solutions division.

“The need and demand for custom, high-performance computing solutions continues to grow, pushing well beyond the capabilities of out-of-the-box technology and calling for more ingenuity and advanced integration,” said Ryan Grant, vice president, Ingram Micro’s Integrated Solutions team. “Channel partners are no longer just selling technology; they are solving for desired business outcomes and architecting custom, multivendor solutions and services that meet the needs of their customers and enhance the customer experience. Our goal is to help channel partners streamline the sales cycle and uncover more opportunities and command higher margins.”

The new complementary custom Integration Center is an 11,000 sq. ft. technical facility in Mira Loma, California — Ingram Micro’s warehouse location. The facility is designed to protect customers’ intellectual property and is designed to be CFIUS-compliant, backed with a 1MW diesel generator and to never go down in a power outage. Additionally, partners can remotely access their onsite products via a secure VPN prior to shipping.

The center offers system design, compatibility and regulatory engineering, and executes the integration process from proof of concept through testing, acceptance, packaging and delivery services. Partners also have the option of utilizing additional services such as migration, deployment and support.

In addition to the Integration Center, the Integrated Solutions group offers engineering build, design and assembly for the data center. The Integrated Solutions group’s “value engineers” complete customized, high-performance data-center solutions for customers using efficient, cost-effective and secure processes, according to Ingram Micro.

On another note, expect to see the Integrated Solutions team debut a go-to-market partner program and engagement model that replaces the existing Systems ArchiTECHs community later this year. The program will focus on OEMs and service providers who custom-build high-performance computing and infrastructure solutions, and rely heavily on Ingram Micro for engineering, product sourcing and integration services.
