Ottawa, Canada: Managed Services Central?

I’m in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada today visiting a few companies that specialize in managed services software. As you may know, Ottawa is a hotbed of managed services activity. Level Platforms, MSP Partners, N-able and The Utility Company are all headquartered here. (If you’re based in Ottawa and have an MSP focus, let me know and I’ll add you to our radar.)

It’s going to be a busy day of meetings, but I hope to offer some key insights from my meetings later today.

    Meetings with Level Platforms, N-able and MSP Partners all went well but a lot of the “news” is still forthcoming in December and January. Separately, our discussion with The Utility Company gave me a better feel for that company’s franchise model. What for a blog about the meeting to debut on MSPmentor early Dec. 10.

    Joe,
    It will be interesting to see stratgies Level Platforms, N-Able and some other RMM solutions adapt in the new year, particularly against the service oriented companies like Zenith and now The Utility Company.

    Prakash: Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. Planes, trains and automobiles today. I’m under a gag order on a few things with Level and N-able. It’s going to be a busy New Year season for all companies involved, though. Stay tuned.
