Nimsoft Reaches Out to Cisco Partners
Most MSP software providers spend considerable time recruiting Microsoft channel partners. Nimsoft, however, is reaching out to Cisco Systems’ partners. And so far, the effort seems to be working.
As you may recall, Level Platforms, N-able and other MSP software companies frequently describe their close working relationships with Microsoft. They also market quite a bit to Small Business Server solutions providers. It’s a smart strategy, considering the strength of Microsoft’s channel.
Nimsoft is applying the same stategy to a different target market: The massive Cisco partner channel. Remember, Cisco focused heavily on direct sales through about 1997, but then the company repositioned and built a massive partner network. While many technology companies are canceling their partner conferences amid the recession, Cisco is pushing forward with its annual partner summit because the channel remains the company’s lifeblood.
Now, Nimsoft is tapping into that channel. A growing number of Cisco’s partners use Nimsoft’s monitoring software to remotely manage and monitor networks, data centers, applications and unified communication systems, according to Nimsoft.
Cisco partners lining up behind Nimsoft include CDW Berbee, Easynet, Eurodata, FusionStorm, Logicalis, Longview Systems, NWN Corporation, Rackspace Managed Hosting, and The Revere Group, according to Nimsoft.
