Logitech (LOGI) is rolling out a new portable enterprise videoconferencing solution for small and midsized rooms that will allow users to take their device with them wherever they go.
The Logitech ConferenceCam Connect can be used with any major videoconferencing software and also includes a battery that will allow customers to run a videoconference for up to three hours or use the speakerphone for up to 15 hours, according to the company. The camera connects to a computer via a USB cable and can view people within a 90-degree field of view.
“For about the cost of an office chair, businesses of all sizes can now afford to quickly connect with customers, vendors and remote employees anytime and anywhere with the Logitech ConferenceCam Connect,” said Jason Moss, general manager of the Collaboration Group at Logitech, in a statement. “We believe there is simply no workspace that should not have videoconferencing capability, and the ConferenceCam allows us to connect to meetings no matter where we are.”
The ConferenceCam Connect is compatible with both PCs and Mac computers and features mobile connectivity for screen-mirror projection. The device’s speakerphone supports mobile and USB audio calling and has a 12-foot diameter range.
Logitech expects its newest enterprise gadget to launch worldwide in March for just less than $500.
Last week, LifeSize, which is owned by Logitech, also introduced several new videoconferencing solutions, including updates to the LifeSize Cloud Platform and two new conferencing devices aimed at the SMB crowd.
