AlgoSec Partners with Qualys for Integrated Security Suite

Security policy management company AlgoSec is working with Qualys, Inc. (QLYS) to integrate both companies’ security management software systems for increased protection of data centers. The partnership will pair AlgoSec’s Security Management Suite with QualysGuard Vulnerability Management to aggregate and score vulnerabilities associated with data center applications and their servers.

“Today’s cyberattacks have a direct impact on the bottom line, yet organizations lack the visibility to manage risk from the business perspective,” said Yuval Baron, chairman, president and CEO of AlgoSec in the press release announcing the partnership. “By integrating QualysGuard VM with our solution, we are changing this paradigm to provide application-centric vulnerability management, allowing organizations to manage security in the context of business and at the speed of business.”

According to AlgoSec, its latest Security Management Suite will allow users to see a secure rating of the safety of each physical or virtual server, with scores updated in real time to give users a continuous gauge of potential risks to the system. The company is confident that its integration with Qualys’ software will allow them to make a simpler, more streamlined protection program than ever before.

“Businesses today need the agility to continuously identify security issues and take the necessary steps to mitigate threats,” said Philippe Courtot, chairman and CEO for Qualys in the press release. “With QualysGuard integrated into the AlgoSec Security Management Suite, customers can gain better visibility into the configurations and vulnerabilities in their environments to take the appropriate remediation or mitigation actions.”

Proper managing of corporate servers is more crucial than ever to successfully protecting company data and end user information. And while AlgoSec’s partnership with Qualys certainly isn’t unique within the channel in terms of offering enhanced visibility, it is yet another sign that cybersecurity is becoming not only essential to corporations, but also a profitable endeavor for companies offering it.
