MicroCorp Providers ACC Business, Comcast, Lumen Earn Top Honors

MicroCorp is honoring its its top providers.

The Georgia-based master agent recognized ACC Business, Comcast Business, Spectrum Business, Hypercore Networks and Lumen Technologies. MicroCorp credited the five providers for performing at the highest level in 2020.

Although Hypercore has only existed since 2016, the Texas-based telecommunications provider has made a big splash with MicroCorp. The agency credited Hypercore for participating in the “largest SD-WAN deal in channel history.”

The distributor also recognized Windstream Enterprise as its most improved provider, in addition to honoring some individuals. Melissa Rubsam, MicroCorp’s strategic marketing manager, earned “Employee of the Year.”

The company recognized the winners at its 17th annual One on One event which it hosted virtually. Watch MicroCorp president Phil Keenan give his keynote address.

In other news, the agency has signed several providers to its portfolio in the last month, including Coretelligent, Zoom, eSentire and Wireless Watchdogs.

MicroCorp’s Christopher Shubert

Christopher Shubert, MicroCorp’s vice president of sales, spoke to us earlier this year about the state of the agent channel. He said his company aims to be the “premier alternative master agency,” which focuses on partner relationships. Shubert said his team strives to add a personal touch.

“… I do think there is some perception among some partners — that they feel master agencies are just there to satisfy commitments with carriers, and that they are, for lack of a better word, pushing paper,” Shubert said.
